With a variety of things to try on the menu (at fairly reasonable prices), Indigo Coffee Shop is one of the places many writers, students, and random passerby come to for coffee, or just to hang out. Their hot chocolate could be a bit more chocolatey, but with that in mind, they make a mean italian soda!
bic|| Lilly McCarthy entered the coffee shop and breathed in the aroma of hot coffee being poured for customers. She smiled lightly - though she wasn't one for coffee, the place was rather cute. Her laptop, which she'd gotten two years ago, was under her right arm.
After surveying the menu, Lilly blinked and walked up to the register. "Um, I'll have one small hot chocolate," she said quietly, sliding the money over the counter. "Extra chocolate, please," she added in with a smile. She'd heard the hot chocolate at the shop wasn't that great from a few people at school, but she'd try it anyway. Lilly waited for her drink after she had ordered, while drumming her fingers on the surface of the counter for no reason.
Taking her hot chocolate in her free hand, Lilly took a seat on one of the stools by the window and opened her laptop. She opened up Word and began adding to an idea she'd begun writing a few months ago.
Lilly loved to write, and since she was somewhat shy it was a good way for her to tell people what she meant by putting her feelings on paper (or, most of the time, her laptop). Over the years she'd compiled many ideas and had actually written a novel, which she'd forced her friends into reading. She continued to type, taking a few sips of her drink every few minutes and occasionally looking up to see if there was anything of interest within the premises.
