French Class the teacher is Mrs. LaFay. Try to ignore having her as your French Teacher, she is very rude and mean. She doesn't want to help she wants to kill. Lindsay has her as a teacher and she hates having her. She always day dreams in her class though. So if you can try not to get Mrs. LaFay.

French was Penninah's favorite subject and having Madame LaFrey was not going to change that. Yes, she ran the class like boot camp but hey when it came to French everyone in the class was still a pretty raw recruit. There were new tenses to learn and new verbs to conjugate and ears to be trained. "Conjugez s'il vous plait!" was the order of the day along with "Traduisez si'l vous plais." One got used to it. One could even like it.
Today's discussion conducted as much in French as possible was about the difference between savoir and connaitre. Both verbs meant to know but they meant it in a different sense.
Penninah nervously raised her hand when Madame LaFrey asked her to "Expliquez la lecon si'l vous plait."
"Je sais que je suis tres grosse" exlained Penninah pointing to her somewhat corpulent self. Her fatness was a fact she explained but there was also "Je connais ma taille." This meant I understand my size or I am used to being fat if you will.
"Excellente," crowed Madame LaFrey. "Does any one have any other examples?" She slipped back into English.
((Note: I narrowly escaped le subjunctif. Savoir is an exception to the rule.))
